As long as the latter lacks proven economic data, the doubts about the further rate cut this year continue to be evaluated. EURUSD The pair hovered above the 1.16300 level, but the upside is likely stopped. Should the dollar bounce or risk sentiment worsen, the pair could reverse or consolidate. USDJPY The yen is getting stronger, so USDJPY is expected to tilt lower unless risk appetite recovers. A break of the key 153.80 support could accelerate the move. BTCUSD Bitcoin slid under the six-month low level as the broad cryptocurrency sell-off (along with the US tech stocks) continued. The outflow data raised serious concerns. Overall, digital assets are currently viewed at higher risk. Market sentiment The market is closing at a loss. The prevailing mood into the weekend is one of caution and defensiveness. The Fed’s more hawkish rhetoric has reduced expectations of a December rate cut. Risk assets became vulnerable, given the combination of outflows (crypto) and elevated valuation concerns (US tech stocks).  The next major drivers will be upcoming economic data (especially, US labor and inflation statistics).
